    $5k+ might be a little rich for me right now, definitely like the custom WMS options as I would like to run Archive Garage shock relocation without spacers.

    Yah that 5k is rough, but its not far off from what Currie was for their D60 RockJock when you could get it. All Pro has some builder axles that you gotta do some work yourself on, but I think come out cheaper. The dynatrac is set up with gears of your choice and an arb airlocker and ready for brakes. Turn KEY. :mudding:

    I was looking at the ECGS but it's even more expensive and I didn't see anything about ordering a different WMS length.

    Or just delete ABS and save a pile of cash by swapping in a junkyard axle or a generic builder 9”/14b/60/70/80.

    At that point couldnt you use the housing and swap in hubs and shafts to keep the ABS?

    Not really, you’d need custom axles cut with the correct carrier spline and then either a custom tone ring or have the shaft neck down to stock Toyota size. Plus Tacoma axle seals never leak :rolleyes:. Just too many compromises.

    I get the upside to keeping it but obviously there’s a cost to all that machine work compared to an off the shelf axle.

    Yeah I was just wondering if you bought Hubs and shafts from someone like Currie. They dont sell the completes anymore but still have the parts..

    3.5"-ish over stock, enough to run the Archive Garage Shock Relocation without wheel spacers.

    Have you thought about running a Tundra axle? You can keep the ABS that way. You would have to have it machined up to the Tacoma lug pattern though. A few members on here have done it.

    Which gen Tundra? First Gen is the same as the 2nd gen Tacoma no? They're appropriately wide enough? Disk brakes?

    If you have a LT front the 2nd gen Tundra axle can work. Would be way wider than a MT front end.

    Still on mid travel but will need to run at least 1.25-1.5 spacers to clear new shock in relocate according to Archive Garage, or wider axle.

    I like the idea of the Tundy axle but does anyone make 6x139.7 axles? Don't know how much I like plug welding and drilling and milling Tundra OE shafts.

    Yeah the downside is finding a replacement if it ever breaks. That said, a 4.0 probably will never be able to do that. Tundra axle is wider than 3" over though. Do you need to keep ABS to maintain your ECU functioning or is it just out of preference? I had a 9" housing out of an Econoline that's 68" wms and was going to order shafts from Dutchman. Ended up going full float.

    36 spline shafts are freaking massive compared to the stock Tacoma ones. And the diff is huge as well. I’ve abused my tundra axle for the last year with 5.29’s and 37” tires with a locker engaged for probably 50% of the miles driven without issue. And I’m supercharged with a custom tune.


    All that said, a custom full float 9” is probably about the same price isn’t he end. Maybe a little more depending how much fab work you can do yourself. And you can choose your width. If I were to do it again I’d still be torn on the decision

    How do you like Tundra disks?

    Where would I look at custom full float axles?
