I don’t have exact specs. I basically would trial and error the pieces until it all fit together.

Used some small wood screws to hold it all together, and glued it. Covered it in black speaker carpet using staples and 3M fabric glue.

It’s tall enough for me to be able to put in a standard car battery in, which is going to be the area for all the electrical.

The fridge is a CFX40 and it fits pretty well, I can open the lib pretty much all the way.

I put a cfx50 in the bed with a goal zero yeti 400 that charges off the inverter. Works great and don't miss dragging ice around at all

Question....rather than a dual battery set up....what if you made your cigarette plug hot all the time...just plug the fridge in that way? Of course, upgrade the battery...but thoughts on this?

That's what I did, sorta. I mounted a 4-plug outlet with a DC outlet in a cubby in the bed of the truck. Ran power to it directly from the stock battery. Had a fridge mounted on a fridge slide next to the bed mounted inverter. Then a mounted a Renogy 100 watt solar panel to the factory roof rack which sent power to a solar controller, then to the battery.

I ran a cig plug to the bed when I mounted mine there for my Whynter straight to the battery. Works great and has constant power, but leaving it overnight or slightly longer and you might have issues with starting the next day. Some (most) of these fridges are supposed to have run down protection but it can be hit or miss as to whether there's enough juice to start your vehicle the next day.

My personal plan: get a second battery as "house power" to run the fridge, lights etc, and use a DC to DC charge with onboard solar controller (Redarc, probably) to charge. The starter battery is going to be just OEM stuff. I'd rather have my house battery charging to 100% than be regulated by the alternator (up to 80% with "smart charging" from what I read) than take a chance not starting in the middle of nowhere...

Here's my setup - I have 188ah of batteries charging by both a smart inverter and solar on the roof.

I have noticed lately, though, that the cab will retain some heat from the fridge running especially during the summer. I tend to leave my rear slider open and try to keep a window cracked whenever possible.

@AllTacosFloat this is the one I was talking about - how the box panel sits flush to the rails, instead of on top of the rails like mine is right now.
