This is what i had to do. I may just have to take mine apart and good look at it and take a couple pictures on where it goes. I had to take mine out of the retaining clip that was there, and install it in the new retaining clip of the cruise control module. It is actually quiet simple to do and only takes a moment. But if not done corrdctly i guess the horn wont work or something.

Let me know what you find out if you don't mind. I think I am going to risk it once I get home; perhaps I can save the $18 tomorrow if this works. Thank you very much!

Sorry, i havent found any of the information that i had about the cruise control install. I have looked, but have been fairly busy with work, so i really havent been able to look very good. The end of the year rush is always busy for me and my job.

Success! Updated the links on my original post if anyone else ever comes across this issue. If you are brave enough and know how to do the whole "depinning" thing (not sure if that is the right term, but I mean moving the horn wire into the same harness that came with the cruise module), then you might be able to save some $35 out of my $55-60 total. But, I am pretty satisfied with it either way!

Can you explain how to remove the terminal from the connector? I can't figure it out.

You have to take a small screwdriver or something, maybe a razor blade, and there is a tiny little slit on one side of the clip and pull it up a little bit. The clip will kind of seperate and you will be able to pull the wire with the metal end on it, and the same goes for the new clip. Ill see if i can find a picture on it.

Ok, so I have added the OEM control stalk, as well as, the new wiring harness that has the control wire and the ground for the airbag, but still a no go. I can only assume that either the control stalk is bad or it is not prewired for cruise control. From the searches I have done I understand that there is a green and a brown wire that go from the column to the ECU in regards to the cruise control, but I have not found any wiring diagrams or photos to help with this. Anybody have any confirmation in regards to the two wires? Also, I have checked all fuses involved and they appear to be good.

A little of this and a little of that.

    Drakken,

This might be the instructions you need for your Tacoma.
