In looking at my new mud guards I see that on all four wheel openings in addition to mounting bolts there is one inner plastic plug that also needs to be removed and/or replaced to mount each guard. Is there a way of removing and re using the plugs or do I need to go to Toyota and buy four new ones to complete the install properly?

Your mud guards should have included 4 additional screws that go into those plugs. No need to remove them.

Took me literally five minutes to install all four mudflaps with the parts provided. Nothing else needed my man.

This. Genuine Toyota mud flaps, a.k.a splash guards, come with a set of 4 screws. You need to use one of the supplied screws with each flap. The rest of screws you need for each flap are already on your truck. When you hold the flap against your truck you will see where the holes in the flap line up with the existing screws that you will need to remove and then reinstall.

Found the four additional screws under the box flap. Thanks for the info.
