I remember Marv saying he doesn’t do any details like that and it’s up to me.
I just left it bare for now. I might put some wood oil on it any spare that I have.

That’s interesting. Not sure how I feel about that. I think if paid for a custom box I would want a finished product it looks well made though. How is your system sounding now?

The box is really well built. Probably would take me 10 minutes to oil it, it’s not as big as I thought. I have it secured to the truck with just regular old screws.

It’s sounding good, I have played around with the settings a lot since my last update. I still need to swap to 2 ohms, fill existing holes better and paint the box. It’s pretty tricky finding the correct settings between the amp settings, bass knob and deck settings. I am literally a rolling DJ now when I play music, constantly adjusting the bass knob and deck settings to each different song. My biggest impression now is that the stock door speakers underperform the sub and this is causing a noticeable difference between the sound from the doors and the sounds from the sub. I will most definitely need to replace door speakers with JLs. For now it sounds good enough. I will swap to 2 ohms once i have a more fluent understanding of the different sounds I’m hearing when I adjust all the settings.
