Tried searching but couldn't really find anything. Looking for a step by step install guide on the HID morimoto headlights. Has anyone created an install guide for this? Any help would be great, maybe I'm just missing the search thread. Thanks in advance

If you have big hands it helps to unbolt the windshield fluid reservoir. I couldn't get my dick beaters in there to turn the bulb to the locked position.

Just got this kit in the other day. The wiring diagram is great but I can't seem to find the oem jack I need to plug into the hd relay. Could anyone post a picture or reference?

I had the same exact question. Haven't installed the kit yet, going to do it Saturday morning. From my understanding, the driver side oem input is the plug from the driver side headlight bulb plug. You plug into that.

Correct, you'll be using the normal plug that goes into the driver-side as the input, and the passenger side is not used.

I installed this the other day and I'm having the shakey headlights that some are talking about. You can really tell when the lights are reflecting off road signs. I installed the included orange bulb pieces too. This is from a 35w kit with 5500k bulbs. Any fix for this?

You can use either. Make sure to tape the unused plug with some electrical tape.

I recently installed the Morimoto HID system as well as the XB fogs. It was a straightforward install and I have no issue with the shakes. Watching the cutoff line closely against the back of a white van while in stop/go traffic on rough, broken interstate concrete, I could see the cutoff line move consistent with the truck's movement as it bounced and shook on the pavement. On an open road, in the dark, I cannot discern any movement whatsoever and, I have been hyper-aware looking for it due to the main Morimoto thread. At some point you have to just drive the truck and not worry about it. Or go back to halogens.

As for the input, when you unplug the OEM wire from the back of the drivers side bulb, that wire will plug into the TRS harness. It should be clearly labeled. The OEM wire is what triggers the relay to startup the system.

I made a bracket and hung it on the battery to mount the relays and drivers side ballast. I ran the passenger side ballast wire underneath the plastic cover on top of the radiator - it comes off easily by removing the 5 or 6 push pins. I then mounted it on the bulkhead next to the radiator using a couple of self tapping sheet metal screws, see pic below.

I'm pretty satisfied with the kit and the setup. It's taking some getting used to the white light after having halogen bulbs in every car I've owned. Light output is solid. I'm running the 35w kit with 5500k bulbs.

Mine were a beast to twist in. I don't understand how this could be happening to multiple members. Fitment was more snug than the stock halogens.

Agree. It took some extra effort to twist them in but it wasn't too bad. Make sure you line up the tabs correctly when installing and, really push the bulb hard into the back of the housing while twisting - if I remember, you'll twist towards the passenger side to tighten.

Dude thank you Nick!! That bracket is super nice. Literally in my garage right now drawing something up for the bracket. Do you happen to have any pics of it closer? Thanks

Thanks man... don't think too hard on the bracket. I got the idea from someone else on this site. It's just an upside down t bracket from Home Depot - see pic below. I drilled a couple of extra holes, hit it with a file, wiped it down with alcohol and a few coats of black spray paint.

Let me know if you need any other help. I'll post up some better pics in a bit.

Sorry for the wrong name, I looked at the post below yours Mike. Anyways thanks for the help! That's a great idea. I'll post a pic when I'm done later today. Going to use the bed liner spray from Home Depot that I used on my light bar frame brackets. Should look clean in there
