installing OEM seat covers

Hi, just putting this out there to see if anyone has done this and how hard it would be. Found TRD fabric seat covers and was wondering if I would have to take my SR5 fabric ones off or if i could just install them over, any help would be awesome

I had OEM covers on my '06 Taco - they're a bit tough to get on & off, but I thought they looked great - didn't really look like covers. You don't tell us your year & version so it's hard to get more in depth.

BTW, Toyota no longer offers them as an accessory. Had to go elsewhere for my '21.

The seat bottoms are typically easy. The seat backs can be a challenge. It's not impossible, but one time I gave on a Jetta GLi seat and took the seat to a shop. I couldn't get the bolster tie downs tight enough.

 

Yeah I drive a 2020 Tacoma SR5. Watched some videos think I’m going to switch out the plain grey cloth for the TRD black ones i found. Thanks!
