    Habit I guess.

Typically when I don't know where to post it, I just flock to my 1st gen brethren

Definitely looking for a wiper/fluid set up. Driving on wet dirt roads or slushy highways makes seeing out the back impossible.

Yeah, that's kind of why I started this thread

    You have plastic windows?

No worries. i start threads looking for answers... you're finding some so it's all good

This is kind of what I had envisioned.

I was thinking of just offsetting the mount on one side of the third brake light (preferably towards the driver's side)

With the curves of my top, I just don't know how well a mount I could get with wiper/mount specifically built for another vehicle.

And I'm not that much of a "custom" guy - which is why I was hoping one of you pyscho-customizers would chime in a say, "oh yeah, I did that a couple of years ago... here's the complete walkthrough for morons like you: "

Use a marine wiper assemble they are stainless steel and are made to mount to fiber glass, a lot of boats wipers are but on after as an accessory.

Toytec 2.5" lift., just the beginning. Front Builstein coil-overs fully adjustable from 0-3". 2" AAL in the rear with 2.5 degree shim. Total Chaos uni-ball UCA's.
Just an idea, but if you could find a wiper motor from a hummer (or some other top mounted wiper) you could install it to the toper instead of the glass, and just adjust the blade so that it rode just up to the hinge area when it parked. as for the washer fluid, i would go with a small 12v water pump and reservoir, mount the sprayer directly to the wiper blade with some 1/4" black tubing (sprinkler type stuff) with a mister nozzle (also sprinkler stuff from HD or Low35). Just a thought i know that there are tons of top mount wiper assemblies out there. Just find one with the right sized arm to do a decent swipe, or heck, both and adjust for sides. :-D

fiberglass and some paint. I think it would turn out pretty good, you could make your own mounting spot. Let me know what you decide to do. I'm interested to see how it turns out.

I dunno, I got looking at them today. I suppose they could be tempered glass but it's very flexible and doesn't have a clear finish like you'd expect from glass. Looks similar to lexan. :notsure:
