Installing Resistors for LED Turn Signals

Front Suspension: OME 885 + NitroCharger 9000 shocks + 1/2" spacers for a 3" lift. Superbumps replacing stock bumpstops. Camburg ball joint UCA SS braid brake lines Future: ADS Extended length, extended length UCA BJ to increase droop capability Rear Suspension: All-Pro Expedition rear leafs, Walker Evans 27" rear shocks, extended rear brake lines (Wheelers Offroad), U -bolt flip kit, rear Timbren bumpstops. Future: Hammer Hangers, Shock relocate, ADS 12" or 14" shock. Interior: Weatherteck floor liners - front, Wet Okoles- front, ScanGauge, LED interior & map lights. Power moonroof. Exterior: Raider Cobra canopy, retrofit headlight by Insight, LED bulbs all around, modified flasher unit for LEDs. Rear diff breather mod. Front diff vibe problem, driver's side needle bearing replaced with ECGS bushing. yet to install: HID Blazer Fog Retrofit, LED Flood & Spot, + switches, fuse panel. swaybar relocate blocks (build my own)

    Modifying the resistor in the flasher module does work with daytime running lights.

    LARGER WHEELS. DIFFERENT STEREO. PUSH BAR. TAILGATE EXTENDER. WIPER MOD. TPMS LIGHT DELETE MOD.
    It's not a cure-all for each model. After I was done. The blinker rate was good. (normal) The right blinker was perfect, but the left would not flash unless the DTRLs were off..as in with the headlights on. Some sort of back feeding issue that I only was able to cure by snipping the wire near the fuse panel and eliminating the feature altogether. It's possible that the mod works great in the three wire plug/system. Mine is a two wire plug. Had I had this information earlier, I wouldn't have bought LEDs, wouldn't have modified the flasher. I would have replaced the melted lights and then snipped the DTRL wire to keep the new lights from melting. Period. I'm just trying to help out others in pointing out that there are options and easier ways to keep your lenses from melting.

    hid head lights, hid fog lights, always on fog lights, bed lights
    I concur with j0sh and VE7OSR, if it does not work, that only means it was not done right. I think instead of sanding down the wire loop, there is an option to replace the wire loop with a resistor with higher value.
