I'm thinking about installing the firestone riderite air bags on rear of my 05 tacoma pre-runner. My frame was replaced back in December of last year. I watched the video on the install. Cant really tell but I dont think I have the 2 holes shown in the video where the support bracket attaches to the frame. Has anybody installed the bags on a replacement frame? I also have the rear leaf spring tsb done. Thanks for any info

I just put bags on my truck today. Only one frame hole was needed and it was for the 3/4" bolt. Everything else was all part of the brackets. The video says 2 hours for install but it took me about five because I had to remove junk helper springs, pull all the seats and center console sole out of my truck and I did a compressor with dual switch and I'm kinda a neat freak when it comes to this stuff that's why. Absolutely worth it. Don't waste your money on helper Springs.

ya looks pretty straight forward...I'm already using a weight distribution/sway control when I tow my loaded camper. She weight about 3,800 pounds max all load up with my motorcycle. I'm still getting a little sag so was thinking the airbags would be a great idea to keep me level. Will it be ok to use the airbags along with my weight distribution set up? thanks

I would say that your w/d hitch has nothing to do with bag's at all, and you would be fine. The big thing is to stay within your truck's GVWR, and GCWR when towing. On my truck, the hole your speaking of was a large rectangular "hole" directly above the axle, in the middle of the "bump stop" bracket, about 7/8 high X maybe 1 1/4 wide.

The two 1/4" bolts don't go though holes in the frame - they clamp the bracket and matching plate on either side of the bump stop pedestal.

If those are the two holes you refer to.
