If it's a Sirius ready factory radio, your gonna have to get the kit from your Toyota dealer.

    Anyone have a good solution?

I spoke to a local installer today that does work for many dealers.
He told me that short of using the Bluetooth, an FM modulator or the usb input there is no available interface.

What he did say is it's a topic of discussion in the aftermarket world and something should be coming. The consumer electronics show in January may hold the answer.

No luck on this for now.

    Same problem here.

But, I have an idea- I plan on using XM Onyx, using the fm antenna wiring for it (separate kit, wires straight to your antenna to remove any chance of interference), and seeing if the Toyota sharkfin has the same connector as the supplied satellite receiver, since the sharkfin itself covers the hole you drill in the roof. (if not, I will be just using the supplied one and sealing the hole I drill in the roof (likely right next to the third brake light)) then I will remover the headliner and A-pillar and run the wires through them. I plan on installing a SPOD and one of its power lines will supply the Onyx power. (that way no need to run the cigarette lighter adapter, and no need to splice into the stock wiring at all) Then, I will mount the Onyx to the windshield near the A-pillar with the supplied mount. I think this will end up with a pretty clean installation, no exposed wires, and minimal disturbance of any OEM electronics.

Although I don't particularly like the fact that I have to run a separate screen for my XM, it is beneficial in one way, it will be easy to read in the afternoon! My stock Toyota touchscreen is completely unreadable from the driver's seat in the afternoon, I just have to guess where the buttons are! (is there any way to up the brightness?)

Def a good idea but it might be easier to just use the aux input for sound and the USB for power.

Would be a LOT easier, quite right! But, I'd either have exposed wires or a non accessible aux/usb port. (connecting them for good and hiding it up in the dash) My idea is admittedly kinda going around my @$$hole to get to my elbow as the saying goes BUT, it will have no exposed wires and I will still be able to use my USB to charge my phone (and play songs from my phone) and my Aux to play anything that doesn't have USB connection (like my IPOD).

For the time being (until I get the SPOD) I am going to roll the Onyx with all the wires exposed, using my Aux jack and my cigarette lighter adapter and the antenna that comes with it. Mainly because I am lazy, LOL! Also because I want to make sure I am happy with it before I make any permanent mods to my truck! (Yeah, that sounds like a legit excuse for my laziness, right? LOL!)

I mean my hope is that in the spring a legit interface will be offered. Till then I'm using my starmate and the aux port. That's my *wishful* laziness

So I think Vaistech now offers a solution.
This kit now lists the '13 with a touchscreen as an application.

I took a pic of my radio and sent it to them. I'm waiting on the install details and will most likely be buying soon.

How do I know if my 2013 factory touchscreen HU is Sirius/XM ready even if it doesn't have a SAT button?

According to the application guide that's not a prerequisite.
It says 2013 with am/sat button OR touch screen.

Apparently this kit just gives the stock head a protocol to receive the Sirius audio signal from the scc1.

Will do, cost me about $330 from Vaistech. That included their part plus an Audiovox unit to pickup the signal.
