I was able to install my IFS plate but when I installed my mid skid it came short and can not align with the screw holes. Any ideas on how to fix this? Skids are pelfreybuilt.

any way to loosen the front skid to get those holes to line up, then crank in the front ones? I know there is a certain order the bolts gotta go in in order for my skids to fit. Mine are home made but are of the same design as these. Good luck man

I tried every variation possible. Loosen everything to get as much play as possible and the pictures show best results. Close but no cigar yet.

Any one has a skid stretcher they can let me borrow?

Thats not a T-case skid, (no T-case in a Prerunner) its a mid skid. Lemme look at my pics and see how it's installed.

***So I figured it out. From what it looks like and what I remember from installing mine, your mid skid is supposed to attach to the outside of the IFS skid, not the inside. Then you attach it to the back of the crossmember, not vice versa as it looks like you're doing.

Not to be an ass, but are you following the directions?

You are correct. It's the mid skid.

The instruction state "lift mid skid with jack and place angled from lip over top of the IFS skid. Lift rear of the skid to locate onto the factory cross member bolts."

I tried it both ways and the way you explained yours is install does not work either.

Looks like your IFS plate is hanging kinda low in the back end where it meets the other plate. Can you see if you can loosen up all the bolts a lttle and place a jack in there and lift it some more?

    Things and stuff and such
Prerunner transmission crossmembers are in a different location than the 4x4's, they are about 1" further back and tucked up higher. The mid skid will not directly bolt up.

Tyler will get back to me tomorrow.

BUT, I have an idea, looking at the pictures below, a connecting plate could be overlaid on to both plates and attached with screws. I could also maybe make the IFS plate mounting holes bigger to maybe push the IFS back like 1/4 and that would work too. And last but not least,,, if anyone has a IFS skid stretcher please let me borrow it :fingerscrossed::crazy:.

Hey Ceasar, Sorry, the skids don’t work on the Pre-runners, the two skids are slightly farther apart because of the cross-member location. I can make an adapter for you to make it work since you already have the skids. Emailed you about this as well, please let me know how you would like to proceed. We will get you dialed in one way or another
