Installing my TC UCAs today. The instructions call for a Teflon based grease for assembly. I can not find any at my local B&M. All I have is Mobil 1 Synthetic Grease. Will this not work for assembly???

    Thanks

x2 on the Mobil grease. You can also pick up a cheap grease gun for like 25 bucks. Those zerks were a pain. I ended up buying new ones like you guys did too.

So I got a grease gun for my TC UCA and other stuff. I can't seem to get it to fit around the original Zerk.

I'm having issues getting to fit around them and get the grease in. Are you guys saying that the Zerks from the UCA need to be replaced?

MY TC UCA make tons of noise!

It will fit. Just push hard. You will know it's on because you will hear a pop noise.

+1 on what jdkeller said. Just push the female end of the grease gun on the male zerk. You will hear it pop. You will also have resistance pulling it off.

The reason so many of us had trouble with the provided zerks, is because they are a bitch to get the thread started. Very easy to cross thread.

If you are having noise, it may be because you didn't grease the poyurethene bushings before assembling. When adding more grease, do not put too much. It will cause the bushing to mushroom out.

so i greased my zerks and sprayed my uniball, no squeaks but as i removed my grease gun on the last fitting it took the zerk with it! Broken half way through the thread and not sure how to fix it. Have any ideas?

yea start by calling it a grease fitting thats what they are then use an easy out tool to remove remainder of grease fitting i have greased over thousands and thousands of fittings the worst would be to have to drill and retap good luck
