    Hey Guys,
The other day I was watching that "Motor Head" tv show & they were talking about how a lot of vehicles now don't have a hard connection between the gas petal & the carburetor. There is a sensor on the back of the petal that sends the information to the engine.
The companies program all this in what I would call a "Safe" mode. Then the show talked about this company called, Boulekos Dynamics that makes a selectable performance part called a Sprint Booster that plugs between the petal & the OEM connector.
There is a 3 setting button for; Off (stock), Medium (a lot of Fun), & Maximum (Full Race).
    The results are Amazing.

    Hello fellow Owen
I believe URD makes something along the same lines but only for automatics

Agreed, urd does sell the sprint booster.

Is this really a daily driver benefit tho?

Is there a possibility of having it on full race and forgetting that fact when u back out of a parking spot at full speed?

I know one guy that has one. He loves it. He says that it makes the vehicle so much more responsive. He has it on a Subaru though.

All it does, is change the point at which your throttle fully opens. For example, Stock, when you apply your foot to the floor, the throttle is "WOT". The booster makes it so you can be at full throttle when you apply half throttle, or 1/4 throttle, or whatever. My thoughts are, Smashing your foot to the floor is free.

In your case, I don't think so. Right now, you get tire smoke at 1/3 throttle (Im guessing), so this would allow for tire smoke at 1/4 throttle, or by simply giving it a good stare.

I tend to agree. I could see how in some applications to have full WOT often and sooner in the pedal would make sense, but, that's for the closed courses.

Still, maybe a unique to have mod for some. I like that the option is out there and being developed for the Tacoma platform.

The Booster not only affects the amount of throttle plate per amount of pedal push, it affects the amount of delay between the pedal movement and the throttle plate movement. So it can have a positive affect for daily driving, assuming you want quicker reaction to the petal.

    Nope.

I have one, its fun, only benefit I have found is when tuning I have a bit more throttle input.

Can someone can confirm that about the delay between the pedal and throttle valve opening and the fact that sprint booster correct that.

I investigate that cause since i've installed my SC, when tuning i can see lag at pedal to medal. The truck look for 1 sec just like it will stall and you can see the AFR getting pretty rich. My only explanation was that the injectors are faster then the throttle valve and it's worst with a SC cause of the bigger injectors.

That is what I am saying IT DOES. I would never start up the truck in race (red) mod first thing in the morning. It is not really comfortable to just drive around in anyway & would never do that. I start off in stock (off)with the button. But ,the middle (green) adds pep to everything after everything is warm & pumped up. As long as one is not accelerating, one can shift through all options. I like having options.
It is doing more than just making one not have to push the petal down as far.

Just a side note... I believe that there is more travel and time lag built into the gas pedal control to make the truck easier to control over rough roads. Imagine bouncing around off road with an immediately travel sensitive gas pedal and you'll get the idea.

Like riding thru whoops on a dirt bike or landing and accidentally twisting the gas?

    I can relate.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I notice that on my new Ultraguage at full throttle in 5th gear at WOT the throttle command is 82.1%. Is this setting adjustable and/or does this device allow it to go to 100% at WOT? Oh and do they make one for the 4cyl 5 speed?
