I would agree with this. After my adjustments the center speaker out or in makes only a little difference. Better without but not interested in having a hole for the very little difference.

Also my wife’s 24 Camry with JBL system is way better.

Stock at the moment. Currently 4 hours and 28 miles old.) This WILL change in the near future!
I know it's been a while since anyone posted on this thread, so I'm looking for info / updates.
Specifically, does anyone know if ANYONE makes a cover for the hole yet?
I removed the BT speaker and the system sounds better (IMHO), but the hole is driving me a bit batty.

    Thanks in advance.

Put a piece of electrical tape over the contacts and install the BT speaker back.

I don't understand what folks are talking about either. My JBL sounds awful without the center speaker. I hate the concept of the removable center speaker - mine rattles around in the dash hole a bit and the connection isn't real solid. I've been searching for a fix for these issues. Removability is just a stupid idea. But running the high-end stereo without the center channel doesn't work IMO. Car interiors are complex sound enviromnents and manufacturers design their setups with many speakers to overcome those weird dynamics. Lotta folks think they know better and that's fine. Do what works for you. I'm no audiophile. But for me, i'm fine with the JBL as is. But the engineer who came up with that stupid pop in situation should be fired.

Center Chanel is way over powered, cleaner better sound with more depth without….
Dash speakers are plenty loud & rich coming off windshield….
    The center makes things harsh…

That's my 2 cents to what I think is some-what of a trained ear....

Go into Apple Music settings app and change the eq to loud. I have noticed a dramatic improvement. I’m not sure about Spotify but every forum says changing its eq is an improvement.

I am not hating, if its something that is in all 2024 models. Toyota should know so they can fix it, like a recall

Ok, There isn't going to be a recall for us just expecting more from a sound system considering the advances / speakers available in todays modern world...
The system is garbage & it is what it is....
Doing research, toyota jbl systems were never great...

Loud will make it louder, but also reduces the audio quality. It's meant for when you're listening on earbuds in noisy places. Squishes the louds and softs (compression), possibly a slight bass boost. In the Spotify settings go to where you can pick Loud, Normal, Quiet. Either next to those options or in fine print below, it actually says, "Loud may diminish audio quality". I definitely wouldn't recommend using that. It'll be louder but no way that's going to sound better.

Totally agree. I've had my 2024 for two weeks and, being an audiophile nerd, the first thing I noticed were the harsh mids and the louder than appropriate volume (ruining the stereo imaging) coming from that center, removable JBL speaker. I have played with pulling it out. It does improve the sound. I may use the tape trick, but that risks it not being charged when I actually do want to use it outside the truck.

Toyota really needs to add a feature so you can adjust the volume of that center speaker. In theory (if the hardware supports it) it should be a simple software add ... add a slider for "Center Speaker Volume" in the Sound settings. Problem solved.

You can EQ it. But my problem with that, is that you're EQ'in ALL the speakers to compensate of the one speaker that's causing the issue. That shouldn't be the way to fix it. The other speakers sound fine with the Mid at center position.

Perhaps we all need to write (BUG!) Toyota for a software update to add an adjustment slider for the volume on the center speaker:

I'd also like to be able to separately control the subwoofer to some degree. Those two changes to the s/w would be much appreciated.

I'm not an audiophile by any stretch but I have been a little underwhelmed with my 24 Trailhunter sound so far.
I'm an old man now, so I'm not in the "put four twelves in the back" group lol. But I would like it to have a little bump for when I have the windows down driving these mountain roads solo.

Is there any room to put like a 6" sub under seat or anywhere in this cab? I'm not savvy on all the air needs etc so any suggestions would be appreciated.
