It’s looks to me it’s the same shit and I’ve got a roll of it left over from insulating my shop last summer. Anybody ever tried this as sound deadener in truck and does it work?

Personally I wouldn't use anything that is designed to be used in a vehicle.

I used Stinger Roadkill in the past because I got a deal on it. You have to clean the area really well and spend the time laying it down with pressure so it adheres well.

Now I will only use and recommend HushMat. It is specifically made for automotive use( Its essentially what OEM Auto manufactures use in there vehicles). Its stable up to 550 degrees fahrenheit. Little to no cleaning is required for application. Made in USA and it fucken sticks! FYI Rockford Fosgates Deadskin is relabeled HushMat.

I've been installing off and on since 2005, just finished being a Distributor Rep for brands such as Rockford, Kenwood, Escort Radar and of course HushMat. The company I worked for was bought out for our Home AV/Ci division and they eliminated 12v(Fuck SnapAV).

Basically i'm just trying to say don't try to save a buck and use some free left over shit thats laying around.

Sound deadening and reflective bubble insulation are totally different. Sound treatment is a thick, dense, almost rubber material. Compared to bubble insulation which is light and airy. Whole different ball game
