I'm curious if anybody is having this problem with Maestro RR. The song titles will not display in the instrument panel when you start the truck and car play/bluetooth is connected. Only way for the song titles over bluetooth to display is to select FM Tuner, then back to Wi-Fi audio. Something wrong with my Maestro? 01A8DF62-175A-424B-BDF2-0E2463CD6DCA.jpg

I have noticed any time I have a random quirk, I’ll pull it out and check for an update and it typically has a software update available. And make sure the radio has the newest firmware as well

Thanks, I have the latest update from pioneer 1.04(oct 2019). I never updated the maestro since I paid an audio shop to install my head unit. Is it a simple process?

Yes. You’ll need a mini-usb cable (not micro, mini) and a computer. That’s about it

In the industry, I learned that typically by the time I noticed an issue or a client brought an issue to my attention, the manufacturer was already well aware of it (because people love to complain) and a fix was either already published, or in progress.

there are so many devices interacting with each other. You have the radio, the RR, the truck, the phone, and occasionally a specific app on the phone. If the phone gets an update, an app may not interact with CarPlay correctly anymore, so the app needs an update, but then the new phone software doesn’t talk to the RR data-bus correctly, so now the display doesn’t work, so now the RR needs an update. It’s a trickle-down effect through multiple levels.

with the announcement of iOS14, I’m expecting the radio to need a software update shortly after the phones update, which most likely means another RR update.
