Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
Don't know the break downs of what is what, but for my wife and I on both vehicles (2007 Camry SE, 2005 Tacoma DC) full coverage $250 deductible for each car = $165.00 per month. USAA also.

Oh yeah, I haven't had a ticket in 10 years, until summer 2009, since 3; and had $12500 claim for hail damage to both of our cars in early '09. Between those and just insurance itself going up, it was about $135/month a little more than a year ago.

Already did, checked with all state and progressive both quoted me higher than what I'm paying with USAA.

I have my auto loan, and my homeowners insurance through USAA so I get a discount.

I also had a pretty bad driving record as a teenager so I'm sure they are factoring that in even though they say they dont

Why not just put the $949 in savings? Unless you paid too much for your truck you shouldn't need this since the tacomas hold their value well. If you put it in savings and make interest (very miniscule interest..yes..but still interest) you can use it if you ever need it.

Too many factors involved with insurance quotes,

They best thing you can do is get at least 1/2 dozen quotes,

you would be surprised on how much of a difference between companies

$115 per month. I was actually amazed that it was so little for a new vehicle...I was expecting much more.

The F-350 that I almost purchased before my truck would have only been $83 per month for full coverage! This truck was a 2000 F-350 Dually with the 7.3L Powerstroke and 4X4.

best thing you can do is contact 1/2 dozen brokers, and have them each quote the multiple carriers that they are appointed with. Just be careful that they don't broker fee the poop out of you though :p The fees have to be disclosed, and they are negotiable. (in CA anyway, not positive about other states)

What was the issue with the motorcycle cost? Bikes can be pretty pricey depending on the type. Also with a bike you're going to want to bump up the policy coverage as much as possible and buy underinsured/uninsured motorist coverage.

Each state is different. In California, you don't want to have just basic liability ($15k/$30k/$5k) with a bike. You want uninsured/underinsured motorist in case the other driver has little or nothing, you'll still get some coverage.

Uninsured/Underinsured is the difference between your policy and their policy if they have one. So if you have the bare minimum (15K/30K/5K: single injury max/multiple injury max/property max) and they have the bare minimum, you'll get nothing from your policy and a maximum of $15K from their policy (single injury) (your policy pays $15K-$15K=0). If you had $100K/$300K/$100K, you'd get up to $15K from their policy and up to $85K from your policy.
