Not trying to. But no such thing as free money. Credit isn't needed to make purchases.

OP, you need to get established with credit. Apply for one, get it and buy something small and affordable and pay it off monthly... Do NOT pay off the whole thing at once, that's not as good for your credit as paying off monthly. Don't miss a payment either because you'll just fuck yourself hard and deep in the long run, not the credit card company.

Doesn't mean it's free money. It has to be paid back, therefore, not free.

Dictionary's can eat a dick, that isn't reality.

Not over my head in the least.

Your opinion is that credit runs everything and mine is credit buys nothing but debt. Regardless of the cost to own, it isn't money. It's paperwork.

Cash is currency. It buys everything, debt free. No reason to tell a young kid that he will be a helpless ditch digger without a credit card when it is far from the truth.

Sure is. When I was 14 my dad made me cut lawns. When I came home tired sweaty and dirty the first day he said: son, you can either go to school and make money the easy way, or do this kind of work for less. Your choice. I choose school

    Like anyone else does, saving.
I think we can instead agree to disagree and not threadjack. You think I'm a retarded idiot retard, and I think you're part of the problem.

Now let's have a beer, separately.

I'm kinda disappointed in some of these responses. I'm all for fucking around on the forum, but some of you assess need to remember what it was like when you were 20. Not many of us would have asked for help, including me when something like this happened. Look past the poor post by the OP and try to help.

Don't take it personally, you do have much to learn. For starters, a tire with a 80k warranty does not mean you can safely drive that tire for 80k.

This thread is painful to read and I'm 19, can't imagine how some of you older guys even made it through...

    Heres my take on it

    • Op can't afford to fix it himself, therefore will go entire insurance route and yes end up paying more in the long run but has no other choice.
    • Insurance isn't going to screw him so his truck should be good as new
    • No your brush guard isn't going to save your life, ever. Yes it did more damage. Maybe insurance will pay to replace it and you can use some of that money to cover your deductible.
    • Get some new tires as soon as you can, be careful in the rain until then. Be glad you didn't get a ticket for not only say.. crossing the center, reckless driving, unable to maintain control of the vehicle and lastly bad tire.
    • Get a lower deductible, yes your rates will go up but when you need to use your insurance you can use it! I just raised mine from 100 to 250.
    • Lastly, your girlfriends dad is the last person to take advice from, I mean he is letting you date his daughter, obviously not a smart man... Totally joking lol
