I got hit by a driver on the freeway and my sliders took most of the damage compared to my doors and right rear fender. I just got the sliders put on back in July 10th, I have heard of insurance companies covering the repair/replacing the sliders. Has anyone experienced this?

I think they usually cover a minimal amount of additional (aftermarket) damage, and contents (if one was broken in to). This is why many with tons of aftermarket doodads assume a risk, or get additional coverage.

If you have additional coverage for accessories then yes. Some companies cover a token amount ($1,000-$2,000) on your base policy. Anything above that you have to buy additional coverage. Others don't include it at all and you have to add it. My company does the latter so I purchased additional coverage for my topper and other more expensive add-ons. Was very reasonably priced.

If the other driver was at fault, their insurance should cover everything.

In my experience if the other driver is at fault they pay to have the car fixed as it was. If it's you fault/company then it depends on the policy, you can also take the money they offer and do as you wish (they pay for stock bumper and you buy a plate bumper).

Make sure your frame isn't bent first.

@ZRami any pictures of the damage and the other car? Details of the accident? I'm curious to see how the sliders took the hit.
Are the sliders bolt on or welded to frame?
