Technically they were on a legal roadway within federal property (US Forest Service). So this should technically be the same as any other accident of losing control in the road out front of your house.

correct, if your total loss option is indeed 'agreed value.' ach is different and you do have to supply proof of custom parts and equipment. personal auto policies can come with up to $3k coverage and additional is extra $.

not true. insurance companies are highly regulated by the government. they cannot just raise rates because you're asking questions.

good time to remind everyone to make sure their insurance company will cover any vehicle with an altered suspension. not all do and you may find out the hard way. :D

I may have to call Flo. I have trip planned for Utah this spring. Another thing I was looking into was roadside assistance. I travel a ton and was looking for something cheap in case I get into a jamb.

There is a ton of speculation and “experts”. The only expert would either be your agent or an independent licensed agent (for asking questions) I’m no expert but I can share my super fun 6 month experience.

I paid an insured and licensed “shuttle” service to move my truck and boat trailer from up stream to down stream (15 miles) while I was fly fishing on The Deschutes River in OR.

While shuttling my vehicle they drove it through, yes through, a tree at 80mph. (2017 SR5 6” Lifted, Rock Rails, Supercharged, modified Tundra). It took about 6 months of dancing and negotiations with receipts to have it paid in full (total loss). I continued to push back until they finally agreed to pay, 6 months later... I finally started leaving 1 star cust sat reviews. It was USAA.

flo’s roadside will only get you to the nearest repair facility or up to 15 miles wherever you request. just keep that in mind. not as good as aaa towing service, it it’s cheaper.

also, only lifts up to 4”.

really??? i clean up after our independent agents every day. lol. they are liars just trying to make a quick buck!!!!!!

i would never recommend going through an independent agent or broker. but.... some companies make you.

    I agree with you.

I was only referencing an independent agent to answer hypothetical questions before someone went to their own agent. All Insurance companies have different policies that they get to exercise at their discretion.

My ultimate point was to do your due diligence, be persistent, and persevere.

claims can always effect premium. but a claim isn’t the same thing as merely asking a question about your policy as described in this thread.
