I'm in MA and my town has Xfinity or satellite. I don't love YT TV, but I also was over paying $150/mo for a cable package I used about 6 channels of.

I have VT Mutual as an insurance co with 100/300. With a paid in full discount, multi-car discount and homeowner's policy discount, I'm down to just under $2,300 / year for my Taco, my Vette and my wife's JGC. Ironically at $766 / year the Tacoma is the priciest to insure. I have full coverage on all (3) but no rental on the Vette. I did move my Vette over to Haggerty to get agreed value as part of the deal. I'm pleased with my policies. VT Mutual has paid two non-at-fault total losses, two non-at-fault collision repairs and a parking lot hit and run under comprehensive with nary a rate increase.

I'm dead center in the mess that is DFW. For some reason this metro always pulls the highest rate quotes in the state, even higher than Houston (which makes no sense).

Same deductible and coverage as you.

$860 for a 6 month term. 40% cost for 66% as many vehicles, and thanks to my location, a 12500% chance of getting bent by another lunatic.

You pay $1720/year for full coverage on two vehicles. That’s not expensive at all. I pay around $1k/year for just my Tacoma, only vehicle, and relatively speaking I don’t think that’s overly expensive.

I have USAA and in California, a few years ago my rates randomly went up. Called in and was informed they raised rates in California due to the amount of uninsured drivers in California. Not sure if that’s 100% true but that’s what the representative told me.

Wife and I are both Vets and over the years have been also insured with the "company that cares about Vets". Our insurance increased year after year and a couple of years ago went up significantly. Neither of us have had a traffic ticket, never filed a HO claim or an auto claim and we've never even used ins for a windshield. I called, and their bullshit answer was that it was due to the increased risks in Idaho...I just assumed all the Californians coming in :luvya:.
Anyway I decided to call State Farm and they killed it, saved us 1800.00 a year, doubled our limits and added a personal umbrella.
    2 things -
    1. Shop your insurance often.
    2. USAA, please fuck off.

Not necessarily true. they may not be able to charge you more, but they can and have canceled people for "unsafe" driving habbits.

I think it’s all the flooded car claims. I watched a few videos on this and there are fields and fields of flood damaged car/trucks in Florida.

You're welcome. Do me a favor and post up if you get the rate increase. I'm very interested if you have a vehicle registered and insured in Florida and also get the state-wide price increase. (Comes with 8oz of water-based lube btw.)

The #1 reason that premiums are up is because of assholes like Morgan and Morgan. It is so bad in Orlando that you have firms that are advertising insurance settlements like people winning the lottery. Until the laws are changed, we will keep paying and every other ad on TV will be of some sleaze bag soliciting the misfortune of others.

It isn't just car insurance, home insurance is just as bad. Every house in my neighborhood had their roof replaced by their insurance companies at no cost. We are talking $40-50K each house. The insurance companies don't even fight it anymore and just pay. It is easier for them to just pay and raise your rates or in many cases, they just pull out of Florida because we let a select few lawyer firms block every attempt to change the laws because they are getting ridiculously rich.

    Oh look, another mod....

I just looked at my policy. It's $927 for 12 months ($77.25/month). 1 vehicle. No tickets/accidents in the last 7+yrs. I also live in a low crime area and park in a garage. (maybe that helps, maybe it doesn't).

Oh, and that's full coverage with un-insured & underinsured.

What are you claiming isn’t true? All telematics are opt-in here and rate hikes are different than terminating policies.

I've got Geico and also in Tampa. I pay about $93/month for my 2012.

I shopped around and idk if there is anything any cheaper. USAA, Progressive, state farm all wanted $130/month for the same coverage as Geico

Last fall my Geico was going to go up about 35%. I'm over 55 with a spotless record, no claims and excellent credit (yeah, that makes a difference). I switched to Progressive and got the same rates I previously had with Geico.

Lifted Tacomas don't flood, we just drive right through the flooded roads - no problem. Maybe even scoop up a redfish or two along the way.

After working as a collision estimator for a short period about 5 years ago I will NEVER use Geico. Holy hell did they suck to deal with getting customers vehicles fixed right. Sure some were difficult when you wanted to use OE parts on relatively new or really nice examples of vehicles but they were by leaps and bounds the worst to deal with. Literally would stop work constantly to have their adjusters come out for an inspection. Then the adjusters would nickle and dime every line item. I had one customer wait 3 months to get their brand new F150 back that a tree limb fell on because they sucked so bad.
