So I'm in the process of installing fog lights, and I'd like them to use the same warning chime as the headlights/ignition/dome lights. Does anyone have a schematic of the integration module? I want to figure out if it's simply a matter of wiring into one of the unused pins or if it would be better to tap into the door circuit.

    1999 3.4L 4x4 Limited if that matters.

It looks like it’s all internal to the integration relay. Read the Light Reminder section on page 2. You’d most likely need to trick the integration relay to thinking that your running lights are on (tail circuit).

You could cut the tail circuit where it connects to the integration relay and install a diode. Then splice separate switched power source from the battery, that also powers your fogs, in between the other diode and integration relay. This would also need a diode.

This would essentially send power to that pin on the integration relay without feeding power back to the tail circuit and turning your running lights on.

Fog light makers recommend tapping your for light switch into your low-beam circuit. This accomplishes two things.

First, it ensures fog lights are only used when low beams are on. This is how fogs work from the factory, and how they should be used on the road (fogs w/highs doesn't make sense since fogs are for close-range viewing and highs are for long-range).

Second, it causes the door chime to ding when fog lights are on.

If you you want "fogs anytime" independent of your head lights, you could tap into the corner/parking light circuit. Your fogs will only work with your corner lights on, which will also cause the door chime to ding.

Keep in mind that the factory lights are ground-switched (switches are on the ground leg of the circuit, not the positive leg), so if you tie in to another circuit you'll need to wire your fog relay to be ground-switched as well.

Not to derail thread, but this just brought to my attention something that's been bothering me. My door chimes no matter what as soon as driver door is open and the battery is connected. Doesn't matter if lights are on or keys are in ignition. Is this supposed to happen?

I like this solution! Out of curiosity, what's that literature from? Seems useful.

Noted. It's my understanding that the headlights switches are wired to the ground side of the coil in the switch relay, not the lights themselves. I was planning on controlling the dogs the same way. I would like to have them completely independent of any other lights though, so @nzbrock 's suggestion seems the most promising.

That pdf document is taken from the Factory Wiring Manual.
