My husband just bought a used 2011 Tacoma extended cab. I would like to surprise him with a cap for the bed of the truck because I know he really wants one.
I have sourced one close by, used, but it came off of a 2011 double cab. The person at Leer says it may not fit because the angle at the back of the cabs are different. Anyone have any experience with this? OR can offer advice? It is the right colour and length but I don't want to drive out there if it won't fit. Please help!!!

    Thanks,

    The Chef's Wife.

Not sure about the angle but make sure the double cab it came off of was a long bed or else it will be a foot short. I'm sure you probably checked this already but just in case. That's a great surprise.

Thanks for the advice! I didn't know that it came in a shorter length until the guy selling it asked me. They are the same length. The angle is what I am concerned about as well.

AC and Double cabs are the same angle. Standard cabs are more straight.

QUOTE="Blackout14, post: 12067669, member: 136543"]Good price as was said the regular cab shells fit the coll double cabs and the access cabs but not the other way around..regular cabs have more of a straight up then the access and doubles so there is a bit more of a gap but an access cab or double on a regular will not work since the cap comes more forward it will hit the cab...these are bother caps for a regular cab on double cab long beds for reference the gap is not that noticeable the last pic shows it best about an inch or so at the very top glws bud
