some parts are yes, but depending on what you want/need you may want to part it out. could also do a 4cyl -> 6cyl swap if you felt inclined :)

Hey thanks for the info! I knew i could swap engines but honestly im happy to make the switch to the 2.7. According to my info label on the door jamb i have a 4.56 gear so im good there with my intentions with the taco. I just wasnt sure with some of the parts like a driveshaft since its an extra cab or u joints or many other little piddly parts. I guess im gonna post it on classifieds and part it out. Cross referencing parts as i go of course. Haha! Thanks again.

ENGINE SWAPS FROM 4 TO V6 REQUIRE IN CAB AND UNDER HOOD WIRING HARNESS SWAPS, FULL EXHAUST SWAPS, AND ECM SWAPS AS WELL

    keep that in mind

Yeah i dont want to swap. I may look into rebuilding the engine before i sell it. If its worth it to sell rebuilt vs. as is.

The front coil overs can swap over, if i had to guess its at least 40-45% can be swapped over. Alot of the parts on both trucks are compatible

Hmm. Got me thinkn. I have plate spacers on the struts of my rnnr for lift. I really dont like the ride and dont want to reuse. Can i use v6 tacoma struts to get a small lift out of my 2.7 taco? Or would it just be too stiff?
I searched for this question and couldnt find it in suspension. If yall think i should start s new thread just tell me. Thanks for all the input.

I used a 4Runner to build my 99' Tacoma. Installed the V6 and complete drive train, seats, dash etc. Most parts will interchange, some with a little fabrication. Really enjoy the V6 and auto trans in my regular cab.

Do the seats mount on the same bolt locations ? Are the doors the same? (King Cab vs 4runner)
Same door panels? This is getting interesting because i just picked up a 2000 Pre V6 King cab with some needs.Thx.

King cab as in extended cab?

No the seats don’t bolt up 100%. 3 out of the 4 feet will fit. You need to do a little fab work to make them fit.
