I have started to notice that my intercooler pump keeps running after I shut the truck off. Has anyone every had this happen and if so what fixed it?

As long as it's not always running there is no need to fix it. The pump should cycle intermittently while the truck is off.

This questions has been asked so many times. I hate to do this but...... Search button is your friend.

Answer: Yes it is normal. The Pump is wired to circuit that goes hot while conducting emission test if I remember right. I remember working on the truck and the pump fired up and I did the exact same thing you did.

Bosch makes a replacement pump when yours goes bad by the way and according to a good resource here the pumps originally had Ford stamp on them and they were better pumps. Once again the search feature is your friend.

welcome to Tacoma World i hope your wallet can handle it. Oh well we all should have a hobby.

intercooler pump will be on when the key is on the "on" position, even if you dont start the engine. if its on without keys in, then you really have a problem

It will turn on for a few seconds without keys being in ignition to test some emission crap and it is normal.
