interested in a Texas TW gathering?

Sorry guy's, don't think I can make as I already have 2 British Car gatherings planned in or about Austin this year. The weekend of April 20th we'll be in Bandera and then later in the summer we have another weekend event at Round Rock, but I'll keep an eye on this thread just in case................Now if I had to choose between Austin or San Antone, I'd do Austin simply because of Baby Acapulco's Purple Margaritas. Hmmmmm muy bueno, and tasty too.

 

I was really looking forward to meeting you (and checkin' out yer Mini too ).


More importantly - WE NEED SOMEONE TO TAKE THE LEAD HERE!!! I really CANNOT do it.

Do you have any ideas as to when/where would be a good time to hold it?

We still need a ring leader for this circus... I am getting the ball rolling, but I need some one in the San Antonio or Austin Area to take it off my hands. I start my new job next week! (read: Mark will be posting less )

 

I have sent emails to *********.com and TRDPARTS4U.COM to get them involved with our get together (and maybe sponsoring us). It works to their advantage - cheap, direct, effective advertisement and customer feedback. I hit up these companies because they are in the area, they operate online, and they market to our group!

Does anyone else know of a company in the San Antonio / Austin / New Braunfels area that would be interested in sponsoring a bunch of Tacoma owners' gathering?

 

I live in Cincinnati OH but would be willing to take a trip during the summer.... Camping, boating, quading, its all good to me........Does anyone live closer to me than Texas????? Maybe we could ge our own meeting up.........

Thanks! I will be commuting back and forth - career in San Antonio 5 days a week (and living out of an RV) and spending my weekends in Houston. I think I am backwards from everyone else in Texas.

That is frustrating. I don't have the time. I work 60 hour weeks as it is, and my new job will have me even more busy (more responsibility and different systems).

If we get enough of a response from members, then I will just have to get it together and make the time. I am going to need some help grabbing a place and setting up activities. I don't know too much about the San Antonio / Austin Area.

 

I am sure that there are other members closer to you, but we would love to see you here in Texas!

 

Ok, I am going to put this one to rest for the time being. I seem to be the only one posting on this thread.

Once I get established in San Antonio, I will re-open this can of worms and see if we can't have an awesome get-together in central Texas. I hope that between now and then that we gain more interest (and support) for a Texas TW Gathering. If you interested in such a gathering, send me a PM. Any ideas are appreciated as well.

I know I am late on this thread but id be interested in meeting up around the austin area the next time we start thinking about having a meeting. I live in Temple which is about an hour north on I-35...

 

I am thinking that if my house in Houston sells before the end of the year, that I will try to see what we can get together for Spring/Summer 2008. Right now ALL of my time is spent maintaining a house for sale in Houston, and an RV + Wife + Career in San Antonio...

Anybody want to buy a brand new house in Houston (Cypress), TX?

 

so what's the update on your gathering so far mark. mine's is just finding the right place and i just need volunteers to help out setting up and stuff. so let me know how this turns out

 

Eh, it is on hold for now (unless someone else wants to carry the torch). I have no time or money right now (hence I haven't been posting much, and my truck isn't getting the intended upgrades). I would love to have a Texas TW Gathering, but I can't head it up right now...
