You'd have some dash button work cut out for you putting LTD's auto running boards on a TH.
I'd suspect the physical install of the motor and boards to be reasonable, but there are only two rectangular dash button positions, and when you examine setups and parts diagrams the same location is used for the LTD step controls and the TH multi-color fog controls. There is no other equal sized blank in the truck.

N-Fab makes bolt on steps which I have on my Trailhunter (bought two sets of two) - make it easier to step in/out plus blocks some of the crap thrown off the front wheels. Installs and removes in a few minutes (two bolts each step). That is the Canadian price shown on Amazon.Ca (U$ price is much lower).

TH Don are these compatible with the stock Trailhunter rock rails? I assume so but just checking. Was drilling required?

Yes direct bolt-in onto stock Trailhunter rails with no drilling, lines up with the holes already in the gussets between the inside and outside tubes. I’m assuming they would also directly bolt into the 5’ bed rails but I have the 6’ bed.

I liked that the rock sliders were tucked up on the trailhunter, so you don't catch your feet getting in and out. :notsure:

They line up better in front of or behind the gusset depending on which side of the vehicle you're on if I remember correctly, they fit better if they don't press up against the fillet welding between the gussets and the tube on the OEM sliders. You also have to tighten them up a bit to suck them in as close to flush as possible against the gussets.

    That’s really interesting, Don.

Do you account for the steps actually blocking a significant part of the debris spray from the front?

When I was driving in snowy conditions there was quite a build up of snow on the front plus bottom sides of both the front and rear steps leaving less on the rear fender so it's definitely blocking some of what's coming off of the front wheels - how much I can't say.

Currently I also replaced my Canadian Trailhunter mudflaps with the RallyArmor ones which hang down a couple of inches lower too.

Looks the same and both identify as a RealTruck item so assuming they're the same but just sold through different channels/distributors? My NFab ones say "NFab" in the middle of the top surface and aren't fully dimpled like shown in the Amazon photos (fully dimpled would probably be better for shoe grip anywhere on the step but I've never had any issues with my foot slipping either in wet or snowy conditions).
