Made a quick stop at a local H-E-B off of I-10 in San Antonio at around 4:35 am and I was just about to step out of my truck, I saw this grey tint-free 2011-14 Sienna LE (stripper) pull up across from me. Out of the van stepped, 6-8 Japanese men in uniform.

Knowing what is sometimes worn at TMMTX, it became quickly obvious these were Toyota employees and were possibly from Japan HQ. They all entered the store in an orderly fashion, then calculatedly spread out. I did my shopping, while curiously observing a little. I later politely asked two of them if they worked for Toyota. The first guy hardly spoke any English, but politely tried to answer my question and confirmed it.

Asked if it concerned the 2016 Tacoma and he confirmed that as well. The second guy (spoke sparse English) confirmed that, plus info about working on upcoming "developments" to the Tundra. Both were very shy and rather unable to really say much, other than be really polite. I tried to get more info, but did not want their "group leader" to catch me inquiring. Both thanked me for being a Tacoma owner
(and also bowed), as the group was actually eyeing me earlier in the parking lot, just before I entered the store.

The "not knowing English" thing.... Yeah, they teach them that at the Toyota covert ops school. :spy:
They know we are out there looking for some clues. This is what they have to do. :D
    They did well.

    Great story.

Thanks, I really tried my best to get info out of them. I'll get em next time! The thing is that, the 2016 was mostly developed in Ann Arbor and styled by Calty back in 2013, so I wonder what they're really up to? The 2nd gen was developed in Japan between 1999/2000-2004 and the 2012 model facelift between 2008-11, but Mike Sweers headed this one from 4+ years ago. The Tundra bit he said, really has me thinking now as well...

Write a spy novel about immigrants (fully legal with Visas) in a store looking at 'Merican stuff for a truck made in made 'Merica kinda maybe. Say one might of had a gun bulge and one looked North Korean.:gossip: Sell it to the 'Donald'. Hurry up, you got 30 days before he self destructs.:bananadead:

Pretty cool I bet, nice experience. Hope they weren't stealing our awesome dash accessories ideas. 357 Magnum and a lethal taser set to go off at any very slight brain freak out including to bright lights on the car in your face. Or just a poor grandma trying to cross the street.:duel:

What do you think the group leader would have done to do if he had caught you?
