Interior cluster and radio dim

To make this quick, I typically show up to work early and sit in my truck. I like to turn my headlights off so I’m not blasting light into someone else’s vehicle or house or anything. When I turn the headlights off the dash, radio and all the knobs turn annoyingly bright for sitting in the dark. BUT...if you turn them to just DRL if that’s the other symbol on the selector it keeps the dash nice and dim. Has anybody found a way to keep the dash dim with no DRL AND no headlights?

 

The DRL's also have a high and low mode.

They are high when the headlights are off, and low when they are on.
I believe if the parking lights are on, the DRL is in the low state as well, so they shouldn't be too bright. Otherwise, I'm not sure what you'd need to do.

 

the trip know adjust the brightness of the instrument cluster but not sure if it does the radio also.

Yeah I have that down, but the screen turns bright again with the headlights off and the blazing blue buttons all over the cab too
