If you click on the TW member's name in the post it will tell you last time they were on TW. @notslow hasn't been online in 16 months, probably won't get a response from him.

It did seem that he ordered them through the dealership 7 years ago when this was posted. Possible Toyota has discontinued them in that time.

I believe in 01 Toyota changed the interior colors slightly.
Oak kept the same name but became lighter
    Moon Mist became Charcoal

Looks oak to me, not charcoal. So I guess FZ10 is Oak?

Oak is a mix of brown/taupe & “butternut” (the old nut-based dye making a gray-tan, rather than the yellow hue sometimes called that)
    At least the 1995 version.

Yes, oak has at least 3 or 5 shades of brown going on at once. Some appear grey in the right light.

I am bumping this because I am trying to find a rear LH door for my silver (Lunar Mist) 2004, 4 door sr5, "off road". I have given up finding a silver door with 0000 condition as I have been looking for over 3 years. (nearly had one locally 2 years ago, besides the point).
C/TR/ 1C8/FK10 is what mine reads.
Could a buyer pick any combo of interior trim vs exterior paint? If i knew what year and model offered what interior trim with which paint codes this might let me find a door of a different collor that could be $prayed and would spare me of swapping the interior trim and locks. I am terrible at reassembling. It does not need to be perfect shade of grey or charcoal or spacedust or even close because i am never going to look at 2 doors at the same time. But avoiding tan would be wise if i ever go on a date.

Is there a graph like the attached paint code graph? or table or record somewhere?

The brochure for 2000 just says "gray" and "oak".

My 2000 gray is code FJ10 FWIW. It looks like "10" is gray and "40" is oak. But they weren't consistent across all years. I think there was at least a break from 00-01 with the facelift where the colors went lighter. It looks like the '01+ color is referred to as "charcoal" despite being lighter than "gray".

    This site:
    https://www.vehiclehistory.com/report/toyota/tacoma/2001/features/colors
seems to indicate that the interior colors changed in '02, with "10" becoming "charcoal" and "oak" becoming "45". However I think the site is just off a year, as it would make more sense to have it align with the design facelift.

However, there is a lot of indication in this thread that "10" is not always gray... so who knows. I'd bet the "F" is fabric, though. The second letter may be a revision, or configuration (buckets vs bench vs split bench?)

I'd like to find some color matched aerosol to recolor my passenger airbag, as it's discolored due to age where the rest of the dash has stayed pretty consistent.

    This is helpful also:
    http://gtcarlot.com/interiors/Toyota/Tacoma/2002/

Here's what I've compiled from this thread and some searching salvage auction tags on Google:

    1st digit:
    • F = fabric (corroborated by L = leather, on other Toyota models)
    2nd digit:
    • A = Bench regular cab, base fabric, 1995-1997
    • E = Split bench xtracab, base fabric, 1995-1997
    • G = Bucket xtracab, SR5 fabric, 1995-1997
    • H = Bucket xtracab, base fabric, 1995-1997
    • J = Bucket xtracab, base fabric, 1998+
    • K = Bucket doublecab, base fabric, 2001+
    • Z = Bench regular cab, base fabric, 2001+
    3rd/4th digit:
    • 1 = grays family
      • 1 = gray, 1995-1997
      • 0 = gray, 1998-2000, or charcoal 2001+
    • 4 = browns family
      • 0 = oak, 1998-2000
      • 4 = oak, 1995-1997
      • 5 = oak, 2001+
If anyone has any more examples that they would like to contribute we can keep compiling the list.

My '95 Standard cab, door code FA11 has the grey interior, just for future information's sake.

I'm looking for a good paint match for my interior color. I was reading on another forum that land cruiser guys (FJ62) were using SEM color coat "Graphite Grey" as a good color match for their interior bits, and I was wondering if anyone here in the Tacoma universe can confirm a match for our trucks? From that thread it sounded like FJ80's also have a grey interior that matches that SEM color, and since those ran several concurrent years with our trucks maybe Toyota shared an interior color across vehicle platforms? I have no idea how close the colors are in LC interiors are to ours...

    Heres the thread I'm referencing;

Looks pretty close if not the same based on the pictures, might be worth a shot.

I have a '96 gray (code 11) SR5 arm rest in the garage, in addition to my 2000 gray (code 10) interior. I'd be willing to check it against those and see how it matches.

User @ToyRyd04 has had some success with Colorbond here:
Painting interior trim. Best spray paint (brands)?

He indicated that the best match he found and what he used was 1913 Audi Dark Gray. That looks like a good match for the 2001+ "charcoal" gray. I have used their product before on a leather steering wheel for a 2007 Ford Expedition and it held up very well, though the color match was not great in that application.

Got my can of SEM Graphite yesterday. I sprayed some out onto a piece of cardboard to compare.

First of all, '96 gray (held) vs '00 arm rest (attached)

It looks like the '98-00 "10" gray is a slight bit more blue than the '95-'97 "11" gray. Due to the fact that these trucks are 20+ years old, I think the match is probably close enough in most circumstances if you replace a part with the "wrong" color. Everything has faded differently due to different compounds so I'd say it's still close enough to not be noticeable.

The "Graphite" SEM paint looks like a good match to the code 11 '95-97 gray, and still likely close enough to the code 10 '98-'00 gray (though I didn't get around to a comparison picture). I will probably go ahead and use it for my passenger airbag cover. There may be a better match out there, but after 20 years every dash is a slightly different color anyway so it's unlikely that there will be a perfect match for everyone anyway.
