Okay so turned switch from defog/feet to face/feet and that seems to have done the trick, cold and wet last night, no condensation inside the truck.

That's stupid though, and I'm still going to try to have Toyota replace my speaker shroud

They will have to replace the door panel. From what I remember that is not sold individually and is plastic welded in place due to little tabs being melted when installed.

Well, hopefully they'll replace the panel and they need to figure that out because I've always left cars on defog and never had that happen haha

Your AC does a far better job of drying out the cab than the heat. Use them both at the same time so you don't freeze.

Like others mentioned, I think the combination of AC compressor drying the air (and cooling it) mixed with as much heat as you can stand (to counteract the AC cooling), dries the air inside the fastest when it is both cold and wet outside. And the recirculate setting would help in this scenario to block addtional moist air from coming in.

In fact I turn the defog setting on with a little heat even on summer mornings if there is a lot of dew on the windows. Then put the temp setting to cooler, if needed, after the windows are dried up.

But then, I never leave it on re-circulate any longer than necessary, because this contributes to inside odor buildup, in my experience.
