How are you guys taking the reading lights out? And putting in the dome light? It doesn't seem to want to go in

If you have a 3rd gen, the dome is going to be snug. It'll have to be semi forced in because the 3rd gen calls for a 29mm-30mm bulb and our dome's are 30mm. The readings should go in no problem as long as you have the + and - touching correctly.

Thank you. Can you recommend a way to remove the 2 Reading Lights? I'm having difficulty pulling them out. My fingers seem to be too big and slippery...

Have any latex gloves? Or your fingers can't fit in there at all?

they fit but cant pull the bulbs out for the life of me. Tried several times. Do they just pull out or do you need to twist?

No twist. They pull straight out. I had the same issue. I ended up use an angled pick. I put it under the body of the bulb and applied a little pressure upward and it came right out. The base of the bulb is also glass, so be careful with the pick. You can probably use a small screw driver as well.

I hate how the OP video makes it look like it just pops out haha but that lasso idea is great. I found video that was pretty clever as well to remove the bulb.

    Use tape...

Tape around the light bulb n pull it out...

Yes, you'll need to add force when installing the dome light. Also make sure its align in the little whole in the middle.

Sorry everyone for the slightly delay in responses. Had my wisdom teeth pulled last week so Tacomaworld hasn't really been on the agenda as of lately.

I have the flickering as well in both my front interior light units.

Would I be able to get a replacement set for just these lights, or do I need to replace the center dome light as well? The flickering is becoming somewhat bothersome.

Your reading lights/dome/plate? Simply PM me and let me know what your problem is and how long you've had your kit for.

    Thanks

Sorry I don't want to read through all the posts to find the answer to my question... No resistor necessary for these to work? My '03 needed a resistor added to the ends of the bulb, otherwise it only worked with the truck running.

    Thanks.
