Interior Doors Replacements

Just a few notes. Tools:a GIS screwdriver or a phillips screw driver, narrow flat tip screwdriver, long needle nose pliers.

Purchased UltraPower interior door replacements,Rockauto. They come with a both the handle and a plastic clip needed to secure the wire hook. The replacement requires you to remove one phillip screw in the handle. Slide the handle toward the front of the door to unhook it. The material under the cover tends to catch so a credit card under the edge will help it glide forward. A common blade screw driver is needed to lift up the plastic clip(see videos) to remove it so that the wire hook can be lifted up and out. I captured the wire with long needle nose pliers to hold the wire out to remove and re-install the door handle. Place the new new clip into the new door handle and replace. A few cautions, be sure to compare the old one with the new. I made the error of trying to insert the left one on the right side. Also insure the plastic clip that holds the wire hook is inserted correctly,it can be put in wrong. Suggest you take pictures as you go . One more thing, the interior is brown in this truck. The UltraPower replacement is a darker brown, almost chocolate. Timmy The Toolman has videos showing replacing the door acutualtor that shows removing this clip removal.Good luck. I hope this helps.
