Anyone have pictures of the way they have their "gear" setup in the interior of the tacoma? Both storage and quick access to emergency items? Looking for ideas to add to my setup.

Just the normal stuff. Medical, tools, flashlight, etc

Toss it under the seats and be done.

I have an ammo can full of first aid behind the seat, a maglite and a hatchet stuffed between seat and console and… a roll of paper towels that floats. Gloves in the glove box, as is tradition.

I have a rats nest of tie downs, jumper cables, and the like behind both rear seats. No need to share pics. I don’t carry medical supplies, a flashlight, or any emergency equipment unless I’m going into the woods and in that case it’s in my backpack.

I wish I was organized enough to take pics of gear. I keep an IFAK med kit/tourniquet in a clear pouch Velcro’s to the driver side under gear shifter. Tools, work gloves, air hose, extra rain jacket, tie downs/bungees and most importantly a roll of good toilet paper in a ziplock are all stuff under and behind backseats. Multi tool, flashlight in the center console. Nothing to crazy.

My tools are in a tool tote in floor. I use different tools for different tasks. Just reload that tool tote. Jump box under back seat. Head lamp in center console. 10mm socket and duct tape in there too. Pocket knife in, um, pocket. Cell phone in other pocket.
If all those won't get me out of a jam I am well and truly fucked.
    Most important tool? Cell phone.

Who is this guy and I hope he is not on this forum lol.
Not knocking him at all, but he is quite young. There is a huge difference between what is needed at certain ages.
When I was his age, I was probably like him and needed everything including the kitchen sink. As I have gotten older, I need less and less. Is it wisdom? Or stupidity. Let the others vote.

I actually met him a while ago at an outdoors show. He’s closer to 40 even though he looks really young. He’s just a normal guy that got YouTube famous from his gear/Tacoma videos. I think he has a TW account but I never really see him post. For what it’s worth, he’s extremely nice in person lol

I don't believe he is on here... I have also realized that less is more. That of course depends on and isn't always true, however, you don't need an entire arsenal of equipment on a truck... Two each their own I guess. It's not my truck either.

I also agree with this statement. I have some basic first aid stuff, stuff to change a flat, etc. in my truck but nothing crazy. I didn’t feel the need to go all mad max with it.

    Why the 10mm socket?

Less is definitely better in my opinon. With that in mind there is certain things I like to have in my truck both for convenience and to be prepared.

A large amount of the bolts/screws used in the Tacoma can be loosened with a 10mm socket. I keep one in my truck as well.

Thank you! I kept a socket wrench in the driver's side door for the battery of our 08 Volvo. Don't ask me why I kept it so close at hand...

Next to cell phone, a 10 mm socket is a close second on essential tools...
