We noticed the dome/map lights no longer turn on when we unlock it or when we turn the engine off and open a door.

Replaced the dome light bulb and it had no effect, can't do anything to get it to turn on.

The map lights, however, will turn on when we push the buttons on them. But they won't come on otherwise.

Does that sound like a wiring problem? Thanks for assistance. I looked for other threads and only found a wiring diagram for another year Tacoma and a reference to issues replacing the dome light with an LED, possibly needing resistors to be soldered.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Those switches on the dome light tend to get dirty quite easy.

The switch at the door may have failed

See if you have battery voltage at the switches

Time to break out the Multi meter
