Interior lights turn on when I walk up?

Wait yeah I got lost haha.. you’re saying your sons truck (w/ auto) does this bc he leaves his lights on the auto setting? And yours doesn’t bc you don’t have auto headlights?

Both trucks are identical. I'm saying I just learned that if your lights are in the on position and you shut off the truck, lock it and the headlights go out then when you approach the truck the interior lights will come on. It's a safety thing. Now repeat the process again with the lights put in the off position this feature will not work.

 

Oh I see now. Thought it had something to do with auto vs. non auto lights. Thank you!

Mine works either way with headlight on or in the off position.
