I love the blue LED mod and I want to try and do it but i have no idea where to start as far as the install. Is it beyond my skill level if I have never worked with any of that before?

If you passed the circuit making thing you did in elementary school you can do this. Search on ebay for 12v wide angle blue leds the ones I used were 20 for $8. With these there are no resisters to mess with, they have already been installed. From there tap power from somewhere, I would recommend buying an "Add a Fuse" and taking power from the tail light fuse in the fuse box by the drivers left knee.

Wire the leds in parallel with an on off switch if you would like or just have them come on as soon as you turn your lights on. Once they are wired up and fire use zip ties to mount them.

I first ran only 2 leds above both footwells, but that wasn't really what I was looking for so I added 2 shooting front and 2 shooting back under the driver and passenger seats. That gives a really rich and even glow.

I just completed my Hula Girl GPS Friction Disk Hider Mod. I will try and post some pictures of it. But for those who appreciate the retro Hula Girl and don't want to advertise that you have a GPS, you're going to loveIT!

I replaced the lighter with another capped outlet just for looks in both my 2006 (this photo) and 2010:

Added a cigarette lighter / power outlet under the dash, drivers side, then ran the GPS to it under under the trim for a "semi permanent" install. No cable strung across the steering wheel and can still move it to another car if needed.

For those that painted the radio cover, was it difficult to do? I think that will be my next project.

This is farly simple. I got both parts from Toyota of Dallas for under $30 w/shipping. You'll need the following: #85530-06010 - socket assembly .... #85535-0C010 - power cover (make sure you match your interior color) .... needle nosed pliers. There is no need to take apart any of the lower dash.

    1 - pull out lighter.

2 - grasp the ring of the lighter socket with the pliers and ever so slowly and gently, using steady pressure pull and twist this out. TAKE YOUR TIME .... it will come out.

3 - unplug the assembly (a flat 2-prong connection). If this detached itself while coming out fish the plug from behind the panel with pliers.

4 - plug the new outlet in and slowly turn and push it in.

Here we go...much of this is related to fire department installations.
AVH-3100DVD1 installed. iPod wire to the storage bin. No gps but have that on the left pillar.

LEDs installed under radio...light up the cup area nice

LEDs in overhead area...idea stolen from BMW

Katzkin leather install...also did the door armrests

    2-way radio/Unitrol 80K e-air horn installed in console...fd related.

portable 2-way charger and mic mount....fd related.

    remote 2-way speaker in cupholder

strobe controller install... again fd related.

And finally, strobe/LED switches and in the pocket, pattern selectors. Husky liners can be seen. Good product.

I do have the OEM TRD cloth seat covers (all 4 and the headrest) available for sale if anyone is interested. Make me an offer.
