Leather wrapped steering wheel
LED dome light
Husky Liners
Neoprene seat covers
Locking glove box

 

Does your led dome light work when the truck is turned off? Read 01-04's have a issue with that.

 

Youl need the canbus or error free style leds that have the extra resistors on them.

Apparently this does not fix the issue for some..problem is they do not draw enough amperage for the stock set-up.

 

If they are proper ones they should draw the same amount as the bulb they are replacing.

 

also I guess the 01,02,and 04 have a different issue from the '03.

 

havent heard anything about that year being different. Problem is because of the soft start/stop. Had same problem with a 2013 rav4. error free leds i bought worked without any issues in that aswell.

Wow, gives me some ideas. I'd like to ditch the split bench in my '00. It's about the most annoying feature since coming from my '02 with the buckets that sits waiting transmission work or parting out. Maybe I'll take the buckets from it, switch passenger and driver slides to get the better one and put the seats from the '00 back in the '02. It has been a dead end trying to find good aftermarket bolt-in buckets for less than 1000 and that's about what you have to pay for used tacoma seats. Wish I had my welder, I'd make something work from my JY pick of choice. Anyone have a Junk Yard bucket recommendation?

How will you go about putting in an electric rear window? I want to do that to my first gen but don't know where to start.

 

Got my door panels redone in plaid. They have more foam insulation, and the stitching was done in the color of my truck.

 

The '95-'00 Tacoma door panels were basically identical to most late 80's to mid 90's Toyota interiors in sedans, vans, SUV's, etc. The interior door handles are identical to the ones in the early Corollas and Camrys.

Here's a 1990 Corolla door panel, which is almost identical to the '95-'00 Tacoma door panel.

 

The window is pretty easy to pop out with one person if you have 2 large screw drivers but i recommend 2 people. There is a window that comes with the electronics on the window already its like 450 or sometging like that. I got delayed with some things that came up that i had to spend money on.
