Anyone know the Riv Nut that you are suppose to use for the overhead molle? I picked one up used and did not come with the Riv Nuts (old ones had to be drilled out). It looks like it might be bulb style, but I can't tell for sure. Anyone have a link to where I can buy them and the right size? Maybe Amazon? Thanks.

I bought a Rivet nut tool when I put the gen 2 rack in. Jack nuts were too easy to over torque, and rivet nuts will last a lifetime.....

Not enough bandwidth on the internet to list.
I suspect @MESO spec'd a jacknut because it likely engages the entire area around the rectangular hole you fit it in due to the long legs when compressed.

That said, no doubt a rivnut would work but it'll be grabbing at too and bottom of that same hole.

You must have monkey arms and a good core. I think this should be a requirement to own a Tacoma. If you can’t install a molle panel on your interior roof by holding it into position with your feet and back to the floor you can’t register it. A new DMV requirement.

How long before we get some install videos and special training classes at your local gym?

Not quite monkey arms, just a damned determined sumbitch lol. I jist needed to get the screws started on one side, then I could start the other side while holding it with just my hands.

I wonder if Meso has any plans on making more hexagonally cut accessories in the future. Interior or exterior. I wanted to add more molle panels but would like to keep the hex theme. Most manufactures are doing straight cuts and in my opinion it just doesn't mesh well with the existing sunroof panel. Rough Country has hex cut bed panels but I'm not a huge fan of their craftsmanship.

I have not seen that post yet. I've only seen the hexlights in the third brake light. I'll have to go through the threads again.

I want to say it was maybe just a 3d rendering? But the size of the hex light was the same size that could fit the hex rack.

I think it was in the third brake light thread but years back.

I wish the sunroof version fit my non-sunroof truck. I like the way it looks. It would be dope if he makes it work for all y’all sunroofers.

Sorry guys. Been swamped with other projects/production. I’ll revisit the center panel option though!
