Ha! I used to live in Benson, and commuted to DM (612 ACOMS). Wife worked in Sierra Vista. I used to tear around through the White House Ranch after quail and coyotes. Awesome place for offroading!

Texas has a lot of public offroading land, or private land that is opened up for mudders. It also has millions of ranch acres, and trucks are what get you to the deer. Folks also forget you can drive on most of the beaches, too.

Depending on AFSC, Lackland or Randolph aren't bad assignments. I was stationed in San Antonio for 11 years, and retired there a few years ago.

Looks like small upgrades. I don't think its going to be anything to run out and trade your current Tacoma in on unless its going the power plant is impressive.

It looks like you can literally swap out doors between the 2nd and now 3rd gen models. The dimples and everything look exactly the same!

I read the V6 is a 3.5L, I am glad I have the 4.0L. If you think about it, this is the first reduction in engine size for all the Toyota truck models.

    V6 4Runners/Pickups/Taco's went from 3.0 to 3.4 to 4.0
Then again, maybe technology has gotten better in the over decade since the 4.0L was engineered lol...

Toyota is finally giving us a direct injected engine. Should mean more power and hopefully better MPGs out of a smaller engine. This 3.5L V6 will put out roughly the same power as the 4.6L V8 I had in my Caddy.

Interior looks like it came straight out of the Corolla. Looks very nice but I think for as long as we hold on to these vehicles, it all the electronics and technology necessarily a good thing. Drivers and owners are having a difficult time deciphering the difference between want and need. Do we seriously need dual zone climate? At what cost. Blind spot is nice to have, but do we really need that too... I am fine with the 90's era HVAC controls for I don't need to know if it is 72 or 75 degrees, just that it feels nice... We shall see soon enough...

Does the mount have power access? Now that would actually be useful for radar detectors etc. The masses do not need a Go Pro mount. Seriously.

Doesn't look like there is a 12V or USB port nearby.

It may have been a cross-marketing agreement where GoPro supplies the mount to Toyota for free.

I have heard that it has a compass in the mirror. The heck with the compass what about actual temp. Temp is a lot more useful.

or if you really want to piss off anyone higher than E-4, call him an "Airman" since technically all air force military are "Airmen"

lol. I always felt airman was a derogatory term. Its the way people say it in the AF that makes it so. But yes E-5 studying hard to be an E-6 this promotion cycle.

I usually just call them by their pay grade if I want to insult them. "Come here E-5" works wonders

I used to hate getting called "Sarge" by old folks off base, but I realized that it was a respectful sentiment to them. Butthurt went away. Now I work for the VA, and it's all squid this, jarhead that, all the day long.

We have to yell for the artillery guys. Sucks to be a grunt, even after they get out. Be nice to Army, they had it pretty sucky.
