So yesterday my steering wheel starting making a clunky, rattle noise when turning.

im assuming thats the noise it causes
so I went ahead and pulled it apart today.
    Part number is 45220-04020

Noticed the plastic thing was broken.
So i went ahead an used a 7/8 copper coupling and attached a precision band on the other side so it wouldn't slide out.

Ignore my foot, but im going to go ahead and try putting it back on tomorrow to see if works. I just thought i'd share since people have been using zip ties

Very nice. Let me know how that works out for you. I replaced mine with the TSB part 04020 for the 2nd time recently.

I believe I have this issue currently developing... What is the copper bushing all about?
Is that a retrofit, to the replacement part (45220-04020)??
