A few years ago I replaced a few injector connectors and zip-tied the original ones I couldn't undo. This was part of a project to replace the valve covers maybe 3-4 years ago? Plugs and plug wires are about the same age.

I won't claim that's all still perfect, but without a CEL I feel like it's guesswork.

It does not feel like a "huge" misfire, like when a cylinder does not fire. It's more like a roughness. And it'll accelerate without completely falling on its face, unlike a "complete" misfire.
And it is intermittent, and my experience with intermittent leans more to fuel, not electrical.

Did I mention there's no CEL?

I have no experience with mass flow sensors or fuel filters/pump on this truck that might also cause this. I would prefer not to just replace things without a reasonable expectation of what's wrong. I assume injectors can be electrically tested, but to reach them is more than half the procedure to just replace them.

What is my next step here?

3" Toytec spacers, Bilstein 5100s in the back with add a leaf and overloads removed.
I’ve been having a little inconsistency in my idle as well. Not enough to feel like it’s robbing power or outright misfiring but definitely feels off and a slight rough on occasion. I’ve always figured it was my injectors but wonder if valves could be the issue. I’ve done plugs, plug wires, and coil packs.

One day, it occurred and I told the others in the house not to drive it. It sat for 2 weeks. Not easy to start ... instantly died and took several cranks to get it started again, but stayed running. To me that's fuel pressure, I don't know.

I got in it to run an errand and it was perfect. We started driving it again, and it seemed OK or mostly OK. But no, something's wrong.

For quite a while it had an issue where, if you didn't drive it for like a week, it would take a bit longer to crank over. But ran OK. Now it's like that, but worse to the point of roughness. Not sure what to test next.

Bc I just went through this on my 2rz…..

both v6 and v4 share locations of firewall and inner fender(next to battery)

v6 has 3rd ‘near throttle body’
V4 has 3rd on front of intake plenum

mine was a corroded wire/shody work done by previous owner on the inner fender ground wire
