Intermittent No Electric Power

    Yes, but it can be replaced during a rebuild I assume. I've never seen an alternator that can't be serviced.

    Looks like they don't have any new alternators available, only remanufactured ones. If that's the case I might as well rebuild it myself and save some money.

    Happened again so I took apart the ignition switch and it was pristine inside. With how beefy these are built i cant imagine they go bad that often.

    Then I took a thermal camera and found the problem, I installed this fuse a looooong time ago for the power to the main fuse/relay box after the cable broke from the positive terminal clamp.

    One side had worked loose creating resistance. Turn key to on, this heats up and it looses power.

    The voltage still jumps around so I'm going to rebuild the alternator still.
