Hi All -- I've got a 2020 Tacoma TRD Off-Road with less than 1k miles and love it. Only thing that's been bothering me is a rattle. I know its a little thing but I'd love to get it figured out. The rattle happens when I'm cruising at low speeds and have the truck at low RPMs (1250-1500) applying the gas. It seems like the rattle is coming from somewhere in the passenger side of the dash, but I'm not sure. I've tried putting electrical tape around the wire coverings under the passenger seat and up behind the glove box on the passenger side but that wasn't the problem.

I have an appointment to take the truck into the dealership next week but I wanted to see if anyone on here has had a similar problem.

    Thanks!

I was sure my rattle was dash or something in the passenger door pocket, but it was the passenger seat. Snugged up the bolts and all gone.

I know on occasion the seat belt buckle of the front passenger side just floats there. Sometimes it hits the plastic. Maybe that? I will have to look into the seat, I know the rear bolts are snug but I'll have to check the fronts as well.

There's a sqeak/rattle that happens due to the passenger tweeter grille rubbing up against the A pillar. Can confirm by pressing on the A pillar near the tweeter grille while the noise is happening. Only happens in the cold for me. Definitely annoying...showed up under 1k miles for me.

May not be it, but check for rocks inside you wheel well. They can get in through the air vents and do just that. It has not happened to me but did to a friend of mine.

First thing to check is a-pillar speaker grill contact. Common rattle and lots of info here. Try sticking a toothpick between speaker grill and a-pillar to confirm. Easy fix with felt tape.

My passenger seat rattles. There’s something inside the seat that is loose. If I take the headrest out of the seat it stops rattling. Also if I sit in the passenger seat it doesn’t feel totally normal. It’s in the upper part of the back. I wonder if Toyota would do anything about it. It’s an 18’ Sport with 24k mikes.

Gonna check mine today. I also have a rattle I think is coming from my passenger front seat when I hit a bump

While the truck is not running, sit in the passenger seat and closed the door firmly. Hear the same rattle? That should eliminate anything door/window track related.

My front dash noise was the speaker trim, the back was a window track guide off. Easy fix for them both.
