I have a weird issue here.

I'm having problems with my passenger side front and back power windows. I'd say we've had 4 incidents since march so it doesn't happen all the time. I often drive with my windows down and sometimes when I get into the driveway they wont go up. I've tried both the driver's side button and the passenger buttons and neither works. The car can be on and idling or off, it doesn't work in either situation. If I put the gear in drive and start pulling around the block, they will work.

I'm assuming that this is some kind of a power supply issue, as I would imagine there's more power to supply when driving than there would be in idle. I've tried revving the engine in park which doesn't, it has to actually be driving.

It's an '06 DCSB with 135k miles and I don't believe the window motors have ever been changed.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Might be the battery going out.

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
Nope, plenty of power is available even with the engine off and relying solely on the battery. Revving the engine should make no difference and sounds like it didn't which is good. I'd be worried for you if it was making a difference to rev the engine.

It sounds like an electrical system issue. It's weird and I can't think of what could be causing it. Somehow the truck is getting the wrong sensor or signal and the ECU is preventing the windows from operating. Hmmm. I'll think on this for a bit and report later.

Is this effecting only the Passenger side front and rear windows or all of the windows? The only thing in common with all the window controls is the ground which all are grounded through the drivers master control panel. PM me your email and i'll send you a print.

Howdy! I've started having the same problem with my '03 DC Taco; passenger side window won't roll up with driver's or passenger's controls. It fixes itself somehow and starts working again. Were you able to identify a fix? Thanks!!

Very similar issue.... rear passenger window works intermittently. Has been doing this for at least a couple years, but not often enough for me to look into it in detail, as long as it goes back up then i'm somewhat content......As I type this now, the window is currently down about 4", since this afternoon, and it will not go back up. I'm losing my 'content'.

I found this link http://www.aa1car.com/library/power_windows.htm in another thread on here. I'll try trouble shooting it tomorrow...

So I had a lot of these window issues in my Cobra convertible.

Window going only one way intermittently is most likely corroded switch from water dripping into it, replace switch. Lots of water drips right into the switch when window is open on my vert due to no rain gutter on top.

Not working at all is most likely the motor, try slamming the door to get it to work and replace the motor.

^^^ Makes sense. That is also why I love my Vent Shields so I can crack open the windows and not drip into the cab.
