My 2022 TRD Sport iskeeping the starter engaged on at least 4 occasions in the last week. It has 24k miles and still in warranty. I went to the dealer and the service advisor couldn’t make the issue reoccur so they told me that unless they could make it happen that they couldn’t do anything. I even asked if I videoed it happening they still wouldn’t do anything unless it occurs at the service dept. any advice appreciated!

At a minimum, get it on video and make sure the dealership documents the event(s). That way, if whatever part causing the issue decides to fail outside of your warranty period, you can prove it was a pre-existing condition that was just unsolved.

Intermittent issues are a pain to troubleshoot. Try and find a way to replicate, like warm starts, cold starts, etc. Hopefully you can find a way and pass that on to the dealer.

Thanks it occurred on both cold and warm starts and I tried at least 10 times at the service department and couldn’t duplicate it. They would only document the problem if I left it and a tech looked into the problem. Thanks for the response
