My '13 is pretty reliable but recently the intermittent wipers stopped working. Low and High speed setting are fine, and pulse worked. Just the intermittent setting wouldn't cause the wipers to budge on all delay settings.

Also odd, when I turned off from the low setting they arms parked slightly above the normal spot they sit at when off.

The higher parking positioning of the wipers has happened before, but not for some time, and only for a short period of time.

Has anyone experienced this or know the fix? Since they are working normally again, I'd like to go to the dealer with some info as I expect them to be the typical dealer and suggest they can't do anything unless they witness the issue first hand.

On my old '04 Silverado, I had an issue where they didn't "park" in the proper spot that coincided with the wipers not turning off, even when set to off. The issue was a wiper control relay that costs about $150 to replace. Do the Tacomas have such a thing: Wiper control relay?

    Thanks.

My '13 off-road just did this for the second time today. When on Wiper delay, they work as if the speed setting is set as Low, so at least they do function. Basically I have OFF, Low, Low, and High speed when the issue occurs.
I've tried shutting down and restarting, and it still does the same thing. When it did it this past weekend, it seemed to resolve itself while driving. As the OP said, when stopped they park slightly higher than normal. In fact when going to stop, they go to the lowest (normal) park spot and then bounce back up just a little and stop. Then they go though the normal cycle again.

Yes, exactly what I experienced. It has been pretty rainy here lately although the issue hasn't returned in the past 2 weeks. As you say, at least they still work. I will mention it the next time it goes to the dealer for service and see if they offer any suggestions. I'm not optimistic.
