Got the new u joints in as I really only needed one but ordered all of them. So I know have three for sale. Truck is making a thump when starting to move after a hard brake and I am also getting a lot of shifter moving. Everything I read says is probably axle wrap. So my goal is to try to tighten up the yolk if there is play in it. But I probably need to refresh the suspension. Nothing is bad but is super old and rusted. When I check the yolk I'll also check the u bolts on the leaf springs.

7 inch's of rain today in NYC and I sailed past everyone on all the flooded streets with the snorkel. Still winning!

I would check your motor mounts and transmission mount.

Finally figured it out. Driver side engine mount is done. Ordered some solid mounts along with a bunch of new front end stuff to prep the truck for a lift kit. Thanks everyone for the help
