I just found out about this site last week so signed up and I've made one post so far. Here is my introduction.

    2005 6 speed TuRD Sport...
When I ordered it the first ones were coming off the assembly line and I was able to pick one that was still on the line and configure it the way I wanted before it was finished.

The dealer thought I was nuts. You'll have to wait a month to get it. "Besides, I don't understand why you don't want an automatic." Nobody is going to order one of these with a manual transmission and you'll have a hard time selling it when you are done. :)

The transporter passed me on the highway one day with one black TRD Tacoma on it. It had to be mine. I called the dealer and he said that it couldn't be. There are none in Canada yet and yours won't be here for a few more days. I turned around and followed it to the dealership to pick it up. It was mine. They wanted it on the lot for a while to show other people and kept bribing me to bring it back at unusual times to have things "checked." Funny, there were always customers huddled around it when I came back from coffee.

I'm not done with it yet. My kids grew up in it. Hauling dirt bikes, camping and such.

9 years, 200,000kms, pulling and carrying everything in site. Finally doing brakes now, and a blown rear axles seal from hauling too much firewood last week. Other than that it has been flawless.

I came here to discover the clutch chirping solution when I decided to do the clutch just now at 200k. URD throwout bearing now installed. Have a growl fro the front end but also just discovered the bushing solution and ordered one today.

My first week as a member has been a busy one!
Thanks to everyone who helped solve my problems by documenting them on this site before I even knew they existed.

I think the Toyota commercials from 2005 were right. I was a mild mannered business man, but once I bought this truck my life turned into a beer commercial :)

Here is how it sits today.

I've got a sport car now so this old girl has been relegated to duty as my winter assault vehicle!

Funny, I see you listed as from Canada as well so I assume we speak the same language but I just read your truck description under your profile and I didn't understand a word that you said there.:)

    Thank you.

Oz and I will have to get together for seafood. Aside from apparently liking shrimp, I see that under his profile he enjoys Homer Sushi Tacos. I hope I got that right…

In any event, I just hope that he doesn't invite me to go for a ride on his moped with him this winter...:)

Central Canada, about a three or four day drive from you (if my engine mounts don't collapse).
